Fishing

The Kivilampi pond in Rauhalahti, Kuopio, offers fishing experiences around the year. We also arrange fishing trips that are a nice way to try out fishing, whether you are a first timer or an experienced fisherman or -woman. The prices of the trips include all necessary fishing gear and permits as well as services of an experienced guide. Trips are arranged in Tahko and Kuopio unless mentioned otherwise in the description of the trip.

The Kivilampi pond

The beautiful Kivilampi pond is located very close to our facilities in Kuopio.

We restock good-sized rainbow trouts in the pond and there are also wild pikes and perches, for example. You can go fishing after buying a 15 € fishing permit from us. This is a personal permit but children under 15 years can catch fish with their parents permit. We also rent fishing gear and a boat.

Water area: about 7 hectares

Fishing season: 1.1.-31.12.2011

Permission: 15 € / 3 rainbow trouts / period (6 am-12 midnight)

Boat: 10 € / 1-6 h, 20 € / 6-18 h

Fishing trip

Duration: 3 hours

Refreshments: Sausage and juice over a campfire

Prices: 1-4 persons / 490 €

5-8 persons / 950 €

We will hop on a motorboat and head to the best areas to catch fish. You will learn the basics of spinning under the instruction of a guide and enjoy the Finnish Lakeland at its best. On a break we will go ashore to enjoy our snacks. There's also a possibility to have a full meal.

Whole day fishing trip

Duration: 5 - 6 hours

Number of Participants: 4 - 7

Refreshments: Meal prepared from freshly catched fish

Location: Kuopio only

Prices: 180 € /person.

Sauna, bus transfer and other services available for extra charge

This trip is a dream come true for fishermen and -women! We travel on a motorboat and try out versatile means of fishing. Once the catch is good enough, we'll prepare a delicious meal from the caught fish. After the meal we'll hop on the motor boat again and head back.

 

Ice fishing trip

Duration: 2 h

Number of persons: 8 - 100

Refreshments: Sausage and coffee over a campfire

Price/person: 39 €

On this trip you will learn the basics of exciting ice fishing. In the wintertime people drill a hole in the ice and catch fish through this hole. Come along, see how it's done and experience this great means of fishing! You will also get to adore the beautiful Lakeland scenery covered with snow and ice.
